Welcome to Nova Scotia Freemasonry

Senior Grand Warden

You are here

The Senior Grand Warden for 2011-2012 is Right Worshipful Brother George A. Grant.

Brother George Grant was born in Halifax and raised in Africville, Nova Scotia. I have two adult daughters and two adult sons, who are pursuing their professional careers.  I am currently employed with the Department of Justice, Sheriff Service and I am the proprietor of  a document service business.

I was educated in both Halifax and Vancouver and had the opportunity to hold the position of Race Relations Employment Equity facilitator with the Nova Scotia Government.  I have served on various community and not for profit Boards.  I am also a member of the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Anglican, Halifax.

I am a member of Wentworth Lodge # 108, Grand Registry of Nova Scotia and I was raised October 18th, 1990.  I have had the honour to serve as Past Master on three (3) occasions, District Grand Director of Ceremonies and Grand Director of Ceremonies, Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia.  I am currently the Chairman of the Bursary Committee.

I am proud to be an active member of the following concordant bodies:

·         York Right, presently the Most Excellent High Priest of Saint Andrews/Renown Chapter 2/19 Royal Arch Masons;

·         Royal and Select Masters, past TIM, Charles E Richardson Council;

·         Knights Templar, Antiquity Perceptory #5;

·         Philae Shrinners, President of the Jolly Trolley Unit;

·         Grand Representative for the Grand Lodge of Cuba;

·         Honorary Past Grand Master, Most Worshipful Prince Hall, Grand Lodge Connecticut, USA;

My Vision:

As we continue our Masonic journey together, I hope we can work as a team for the benefit of the Craft, in order for us to achieve our common goal of maintaining a strong Masonic Order in Nova Scotia.
