Masonry has preserved the ethical content and has seemed to recognize that down through the age’s one increasing purpose runs. The thoughts of men are widened with the process of the sun. That increasing purpose is fulfilled by the living of a life based upon ethics in the sense of “TO KNOW THE TRUTH BE THE TRUTH “

But all of this assumes a great deal of order. When it is understood the moral and spiritual attributes should lead the way.

It will be well to understand what a symbol is. A symbol represents an evolutionary stage in the life of one individual that can be reproduced in the life experience of another.
