Brothers, we are not interested in negotiating the prices below. They are firm. We think what you get is worth the price. If you want a free site with all the associated popups, for example Yahoo or Angelfire, the go ahead.

We are starting to get more questions about the abilities of the Grand Lodge website to host sites.

We can host both second and third level domains.

Second Level domains

If you get your own domain, eg., www.yourlodge.ca, we can host it for $150.00 per year including FTP and emails.

Third Level domains

If you choose to host on the Grand Lodge account, eg., yourlodge.grandlodgens.org, the charge is $50.00 per year.

We allow your own dedicated FTP and emails as well as install a few CGI scripts (guestbook, email forms, counter). We do not charge for space... yet... but ask our member lodges to ensure that they optimize any images they post for size. We suggest a 50 Kb maximum per image. You have to know how to handle images using a graphics program. Most scanners produce, by default, images much too large for websites.

Billing will soon be done on the Annual Assessment by the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia.

Website Development

Our Technical Director will provide website development as a professional service associated in no way with the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia. You should contact him directly or visit his own website. He has developed a Masonic website template that allows users to update their own website with no knowledge of HTML coding at all.

Website Promotion

We give our GLNS Associated Websites exposure on our Home Page and in the website main menu. Other lodge websites can be entered by your Lodge Secretary in your Loage Administration area in the Members' Area.
