As many of you know, Arcadia Entertainment led by John Wesley Chisholm of Burns Lodge and AASR, is producing a new series of documentaries on Freemasonry.
John Wesley has obtained the Grand Master’s permission to go ahead with a shoot in Freemasons’ Hall, Halifax on June 16 and 17.(Friday and Saturday)
The degree team from Truro and members of other degree teams will be taking part as actors, as will some other Masons.
We will be shooting from 19:00hrs to 23:59 hrs on both those dates.
We welcome the attendance of Master Masons to watch and participate in the shoot as audience. If you are interested in attending, we ask that you come as you would for a lodge meeting, suit and Masonic apron.
The Blue Room comfortably holds about 120 people, so we suggest that you might want to signify your intention to attend.
Please contact Vic Lewis, masonry@dnova.com or 482-2199.
Arcadia will be providing catered refreshments and will also be making a donation to lodge charities, on a per person basis, for all those participating as actors.
This production will be professionally executed with costumes and professional makeup artists. It will be just like a real movie shoot. The director is Gary Lang, a noted Canadian director whose work you have probably seen if you watch many documentaries.
It should be a very interesting time and will give you a chance to be part of something that will enhance the presence of the Grand Lodge of Nova Scotia in the Masonic world.
Arcadia will be shooting at other locations around Halifax in the coming week to illustrate the history of the formation of Freemasonry.
The final production will consist of three separate documentaries to be aired this fall.
I will let John Wesley tell you more when you see him.
It has been my distinct pleasure to work with a team of dedicated professionals in this endeavour and I look forward to seeing you next week.
