I will be deleting all current users from the mailing list today. A new list will be created with only those Masons who have a login to the GLNS Members' Area.

Previously, requests for subscriptions were not moderated, ie., the Grand Secretary did not have to approve membership. From now on subscriptions will be moderated.

Please look at the bottom of any email you get from the list. It tells you how to unsubscribe. If you want to unscubscribe, please do not ask the webmaster or Grand Secretary to do it for you. You will be directed to a place that tells you how to do it yourself.

All approved requests for a login to the GLNS Member's Area will include an automatic subscription to the mailing list.

Also, the Grand Secretary's and Webmaster's email address will be changing. The Webmaster email will appear only on the front page of the website. The Grand Secretary will begin to phase out his current email address and send his new one to those he chooses. On the website, the Grand Secretary can always be reached through the contact form. Look under 'Internet'.

Email spam is becoming a major problem. We realize we will have to do things like this periodically and are prepared to do so. Most spamming of Grand Lodge email addresses occurs as a result of email addresses being posted to websites in an unprotected way. We would appreciate it very much if instead of posting our Webmaster and Grand Secretary email addresses on your websites, that you simply include a link to the GLNS website: http://www.grandlodgens.org. That way, if our email addresses get spammed, it is our fault, not your.
