Our Mailing List program is a feature of our hosting account. We use it to send mass mailings to people who are subscribers of the list. Yesterday, a post made it to the list that was not approved. We have no idea why. It looks like the mailing list is working just fine. If posts like this happen again, there is no point bombarding the Grand Secretary with email to tell him... believe me, he already knows! If we have further problems of this nature we will shut down the list. NOTE: If you get messages from our mailing list program that your account is going to be shut down, it means the following: The mailing list program has tried to send a list email to you a number of times and cannot reach you. The most probable reason is that your mailbox is full and your ISP is bouncing any further emails, until you clear it. Bounced emails add to the already enormous amount of unneccessary traffic on the Internet, so maling list programs automatically shut down any recipient whose email is getting bounced after several attempts. Basically it is saying, "If you do not care enough to collect your email, then I won't send you any more.". The remedy: Collect your email regularly. If you go away for the summer or on an extended holiday, get someone to do it for you. We at Grand Lodge cannot change this socially responsible feature of the mailing list program. If you think you have been bounced from our mailing list because of an oversight on your part like that explained above, contact the Grand Secretary who will put you back on the mailing list. As of this email, Grand Lodge webmaster news reverts to text only emails, to further reduce the possibility of it getting into your junk mail. Vic
